Tata Punch CNG – Early August

Following its showcase at the Auto Expo earlier this year, Tata Motors is set to launch the Punch CNG. Equipped with a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder engine that produces 86hp and 113Nm of torque in petrol mode, and 77hp with 97Nm peak torque in CNG mode, the Punch CNG is set to rival the Hyundai Exter CNG.

Second-gen Mercedes-Benz GLC – August 9

Mercedes-Benz India is all set to launch the second generation of its high-selling GLC SUV. Both the GLC 300 petrol and GLC 220d diesel models will feature Mercedes’ 4Matic all-wheel drive system, and a 48V integrated starter motor providing an additional 23hp. The interior will showcase a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and an 11.9-inch portrait-oriented touchscreen.

Audi Q8 e-tron – August 18

The Audi Q8 e-tron, a facelift of the Audi e-tron SUV, recently debuted in India. Available in 50 and 55 trims with 95kWh and 114kWh batteries, the Q8 e-tron 55 boasts 408hp and 664Nm of torque, with a range of up to 600km on a single charge. It supports up to 170kW DC fast charging, promising to be a game-changer in India’s EV market.

Toyota Rumion

Toyota is set to introduce the Rumion MPV to the Indian market. This vehicle, which is based on the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and already available in markets like South Africa, features a 103hp, 137Nm, 1.5-litre petrol engine and can be paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

Volvo C40 Recharge

The Volvo C40 Recharge, Volvo’s second EV in India, is gearing up for launch. It has a dual-motor set-up producing 408hp and 660Nm of torque, with a 78kWh battery pack offering a claimed range of 530km on the WLTP cycle. Deliveries for the C40 Recharge are expected to begin in September.

Hyundai Creta, Alcazar Adventure Edition

Hyundai is preparing to release the Adventure Edition of the Creta and Alcazar. Expected to feature the new ‘Ranger Khaki’ paint and an all-black interior, these editions will offer a fresh look to the already popular SUVs without any mechanical changes under the hood.
